Cargo ship brings modern equipment for the New Talara Refinery
This weekend, the Loading dock MU2, inaugurated by PETROPERU on March 11th, has received its first cargo ship of equipments that would be used in the construction of the New Talara Refinery. It weighted approximately 614 tons.
On May 7th, the BBC Kibo ship, made in Korea, has arrived to the Talara loading dock where it was received according to the stablished procedures given by the authorities in charge.
The unloading of the equipment, that was later transferred overland to the warehouse located in the New Talara Refinery, started on Monday morning May 9th and under strict security measures and previously coordinated with the National Police and the local authorities.
The loading dock MU2, that has the capacity to receive a cargo maximum of 950 tons, will continue receiving loadings coming from Europe and Asia by transporting the materials and equipment required for the project especially the ones that cannot be transported overland due to its weight and volume. Subsequently, the dock will operate as a liquid loading dock and will be able to fulfil the needs of the New Refinery.
