Book Club began at PETROPERU

On Wednesday, June 12, the first of four sessions of the PETROPERU Book Club was held, a unique cultural initiative that emerged from the Company's own workers and was later extended to the general public.

The Club has focused on reading, commentary and conversation about stories, three of them winners of this category in the Copé Contest. The activity is in charge of the outstanding writer Yeniva Fernández, who moderated and led this first session, dedicated to the story " Detrás de la Calle Toledo" by the outstanding writer Maria Teresa Ruiz Rosas; finalist story of the Juan Rulfo Competition, organized by Radio Francia and published in the Antología del Cuento Peruano by Copé Editions.

In the following sessions, the stories "Patrimonio", by Johann Page, "La fuga de Agamenón Castro" by Cromwell Jara and "La casa muerto" by Alina Gadea will be read and commented. These meetings will have the presence of the mentioned authors.

In this way, PETROPERU continues on its path of supporting culture, within the framework of the 40 years of the Copé Contest, considered the most important national literary contest. And part of the corporate social responsibility of the state oil company in its commitment to production and access to culture and citizenship.
