Bilateral meetings benefit communities of the Amazon
In pursuit of solutions and opportunities for the residents of the towns of Condorcanqui and Imaza (Amazonas) and Datem del Marañón, Manseriche and Urarinas (Loreto), PETROPERÚ held bilateral meetings with the authorities of those municipalities and the representatives of the ministries of Education and Transport and Communications, achieving important agreements for the benefit of those jurisdictions.
This was possible thanks to the Social Advocacy and Government Articulation Program of PETROPERÚ and the Continental University, which has become an articulator where the municipalities generate agreements, achievements and social development actions for the benefit of the populations surrounding the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
To date, the program has held 20 bilateral meetings and 25 agreements with different sectors such as the regional governments of Amazonas and Loreto; the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) and the ministries of Education and Transport and Communications.
In this way, a few weeks ago, the Ministry of Education participated in bilateral meetings with four of the municipalities in the ONP's area of influence and, in a first stage, agreements were reached to coordinate actions related to their social problems, such as personalized assistance for the municipalities of Condorcanqui, Imaza and Urarinas related to the legal physical sanitation of properties corresponding to the technical files submitted to the Decentralized Technical Assistance System (ASITEC) of the National Program for Educational Infrastructure (PRONIED).
For this month, meetings have been scheduled with the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, looking at issues inherent to these sectors.
