Audit of PETROPERU's 2021 Financial Statements is underway

As part of the audit of PETROPERÚ's Financial Statements corresponding to the 2021 accounting year, officials from the Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) Audit Company, the Comptroller General of the Republic and PETROPERÚ, held a working meeting that sealed the commitment set for the sake of company transparency.

At the meeting, the PwC representatives welcomed the openness and good disposition of the new Administration of PETROPERÚ, which will contribute to the correct execution and completion of the audit within the established deadlines. According to the schedule, the short report of the 2021 financial statements will be presented in August of this year.

The Chairman of the PETROPERÚ Board of Directors, Humberto Campodónico Sánchez, highlighted the beginning of the audit of the financial statements, a fact that has been contributing to the recovery of the confidence of creditors, bondholders, clients, banks, risk rating agencies, among others; as well as recover short-term lines of credit to continue in a firm and sustained manner towards financial stabilization and the strengthening of the company's Good Corporate Governance.

As previously indicated, last Tuesday, May 3, the contract was signed with the auditing company, after having been appointed by the Comptroller General of the Republic, which will allow PETROPERÚ to request the consent (Consent Solicitation Process) from the bondholders and the corresponding waiver from CESCE in order to reschedule the presentation of its financial statements.
