APN validates efficiency of the Bayóvar terminal

In order to verify compliance with environmental obligations and environmental regulations in force at the national level, the National Port Authority - APN, on February 11, carried out an inspection at our Bayóvar Port Terminal, recording an environmental supervision act with no findings, which demonstrates the efficiency of our operations.

Among the verifications carried out are the cleaning and painting actions of the dock facilities, the rehabilitation of beacon posts, collection points of dock waste, compliance with environmental monitoring, waste management, environmental signage, verification and training of equipment contingency against oil spills at sea, among others.

At the Bayóvar Terminal dock, crude oil loading and unloading from tankers is carried out, of the order of up to 250,000 tons. Crude oil that is extracted in the jungle fields and transported by the North Peruvian Pipeline is shipped at this facility. Likewise, the crude oil that the company buys in foreign markets is landed.

The Bayóvar Terminal is a port facility specialized in the handling of liquid hydrocarbons and has the Certifications granted by the APN such as the Declaration of Compliance of the Port Facility (DCIP), by virtue of the provisions of the International Code for the Protection of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code). It also has the Special Port Facility Certificate - IPE and the Port Facility Security Certificate - CSIP.

This successful result highlights the commitment and effort of the staff of the Bayóvar Terminal and PETROPERU, to carry out operations safely and in a harmonious way with the environment, which contributes to our sustainability.
