Alejandro Narvaéz presides over his first session as chairman of the board of directors of Petroperú
Alejandro Narváez Liceras chaired his first meeting today as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú, after being appointed by the General Shareholders' Meeting (GSM). The meeting was attended by César Rodríguez Villanueva, independent director; David Quispe Figueroa, non-independent director; and Antonio Manosalva Alarcón, employee representative.
Narváez Liceras, who holds a PhD in Economics and Business from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, has more than 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, as well as an outstanding academic career. During his previous management at Petroperú (2003-2005), he promoted the recovery of the company's participation in the fuel market, managing to strengthen its profitability and positioning it as a leader in the hydrocarbon sector. In 2004, he was recognized as "Public Official of the Year." Currently, he is a senior lecturer in Financial Economics at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

The new Board of Directors committed to continue working on strengthening the company's management to guarantee its financial sustainability, fulfilling its strategic role in the supply of fuels at a national level, reaching the most remote places in the country.
Among the agreements made in the first session, the Board agreed to entrust the General Management to engineer Óscar Vera Gargurevich, who has more than 40 years in the oil industry, having held management positions.
