110 youths from Talara finish their professional technical career
After three years of technical training, 110 young Talara locals completed their professional technical career in the National Service for Training in Industrial Work (SENATI), thanks to the Social Responsibility Program, Educating for Tomorrow in PETROPERU.
Due to the current situation, the graduation ceremony for the young people was held virtually on Wednesday, July 29, in which the importance of this challenge that the students assumed in 2016 was highlighted, at the time of being selected beneficiaries of the Comprehensive scholarship given by PETROPERÚ, after a selection process among students who had an outstanding academic performance in public schools in the province of Talara.
The young scholarship holders successfully completed the training given at SENATI, during the years 2017 and 2019, in the careers with high labor demand are Industrial Safety and Risk Prevention; Controlist of Industrial Machines and Processes; Design of Metallic and Construction Structures; Industrial Electricity, Automotive Mechanics and Maintenance Mechanics.
After that and as part of the scholarship, they began the qualification process, with which they meet their first professional goal and prepare to continue growing and demonstrate that investment in quality higher education will have a positive impact on their personal development. .
“These three years have meant a lot of effort, because we had to respond to the trust placed. We have not disappointed them, we have fulfilled our life project that begins with a title in the name of the nation and the pride of having achieved it and seeing the happiness of my family for the goal achieved, ”said Mary Carmen Gutiérrez Fernández, one of the scholarship holders graduated in the technical career of Control of Industrial Machines and Processes.
Likewise, Aaron Saavedra Seminario thanked the state company for having trusted in his talent. "Thanks to PETROPERU for valuing our talent and giving us the opportunity to study a technical career at a prestigious educational institution, expanding our options for success in a highly competitive job market," he remarked.
During the virtual ceremony, the PETROPERU Community Relations Department Manager, Eleonora León y León, highlighted the commitment to education carried out by the state oil company as a pillar for the development of a more successful future. “PETROPERU firmly believes in education as a development tool. We are proud of each one of you for this first academic achievement, do not stop, do not settle, it is in your hands to continue growing to be the best” he said.

Beca 110 is the Social Responsibility Program of PETROPERU that provides professional technical training and qualifications to young people with outstanding academic performance from public schools in the province.
For the period 2021-2023, the state oil company will put into competition new comprehensive scholarships in technical careers with high labor demand. The selection of the beneficiaries is carried out in coordination with the Talara Local Educational Management Unit (UGEL).
